SUPPRESSED SUBMACHINE GUN. Cal 45 ACP. S#S7012. Bbl is 13 1/2" with post protected eared front sight. Fixed protected peep sight. The P.A.W.S. ZX6 Carbine was manufactured in Salem, Oregon by Bob Imel, who had a long interest in the Sterling design. In 1967, the process was initiated with Sterling to import their L2A3 SMGs into the United States, but the Gun Control Act of 1968 banned their importation for sale to civilians. Moving forward, Imel started the process w/ Sterling, to manufacture them domestically, utilizing their tooling & parts. When the deal had not consummated by the mid-1970s, Imel founded Police Automatic Weapon Services (P.A.W.S.) & began making them himself. This example has a permanently affixed sound suppressor that transfers on single ATF form. Top of magazine well is marked PAWS Inc/Salem, ORE./U.S.A/ZX7SS/SN S7012". Three position selector. Checkered hard plastic grip. MAGS: 1-30 Round. CONDITION: overall very fine original black pebbled finish with a few scattered mild handling marks. Bright bore with sharp rifling.
